The Fog of War: Eleven Lessons from the Life of Robert S. McNamara is a documentary film about the life and times of the former U.S. Secretary of Defense, illustrating his observations of the nature of modern warfare. The title derives from the military concept depicting the difficulty of making decisions in the midst of conflict.

Directed by Errol Morris, the film won the 2003 Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature and Independent Spirit Award for Best Documentary Feature
